How do you play Cars: Lightning Speed?

In this car game, you can participate in famous races from the Cars series. Choose between five locations and two different game modes. Collect the lighting bolts to boost your speed, and pick up engines and car batteries to power your car. After each round, you can head to the garage to use the money you’ve earned to unlock new car parts and upgrades.

Be careful, because the road is dotted with puddles of water and spilled oil. If you drive through these, the oil and water will splatter all over your windscreen and block your view of the road!

How Do the Game Modes Work in Cars: Lightning Speed?

In Career Mode, you can start with the Beginner Cup. Progress from one location to the next at the easiest level and work your way up to the most advanced tracks. In the Single Race mode, you can select a location at random and work your way through the different levels for each country instead.

The more difficult tracks are longer and full of sharp twists and unexpected turns. You’ll have to make smart use of your brakes to keep your car from slipping off the road. The competition will also be faster and fiercer.

Which Cars Characters Are in Cars: Lightning Speed?

Darrel Cartrip will provide the commentary for each race you enter. Compete against McQueen’s former rival Francesco Bernoulli in Italy, and challenge the Le Mans Prototype Shu Todoroki in Japan. In Brazil, you’ll face off against Carla Veloso. Head to Germany to try your skills against those of Max “Sebastian” Schnell. Whenever you head to the garage, you can count on your buddy Tow Mater to provide tips and advice.

How Do You Customize Your Vehicle in Cars: Lightning Speed?

You can customize your cars in two different ways: You can unlock new car parts and upgrade your car in the garage. Here, you can also change the colors of your car by changing the rims and spraying on a fresh coat of paint and decals.

There are also various kits you can add to your car to optimize it for each new terrain. Tackle dusty country tracks with the Desert Kit. Or add the Neon Kit for a spectacular city race in Japan. There’s a custom kit for every type of track, and each kit will alter the look of your car.
